 Just a fabric rose I bought at Michael's and now use as the center piece of my dinner table. I know it's not a spectacular shot, but I haven't done I challenge in so long, I thought, "What the hell?" It's my first good shot with my 4mp stylus, but I actually used a trick I learned on DPChallenge to get better focus. I used a magnifying glass in front of my lens! I also learned accidentally that putting my finger in front of the flash would make the shot red, so I tried to do that going for the "every rose has thorns" look, but instead it came out that purplish blue color. Anyway, I liked my accidental results, and even if this pic doesn't fair well, it's good to be taking pictures again.

Looks kinda blurry with not so good lighting. It has some purple fringing too. Should use a tripod in low light, play around with directional lighting using a torch or lamps if you dont have proper lighting stuff, and dont use a shallow dof as much.

I think a real flower would have done better. The lighting needs to be more even with mor DOF. Nice clean background though a more complementary color might have helped.
