 These little dead flowers looked nice against the grey wood, kind of abstract with the intensity of the light. The Sony a55 does a pretty good job of HDR in-camera, I like it! Before I uploaded it to DPC I could see details of the fence in the shadow area--tell me if you can see the fence details in the shadow area please?

Well, I meant to say the shadow area on the Right is supposed to have some detail left. After I posted it here, on my monitor, it turned black with no detail except the highlights off a few leaves.

Yes, I can see detail in the fence on the right, although I have to admit it wasn't where I was looking till I read your notes completely.

On my screen, the details of the fence (left and right black areas) are seen only if you look at a certain angle.

If ou are talking about the shadow area to the far left i see no detail. If you are talking about the shadow areas in the middle yes i see detail there. Nice shot.
