 the excavator bit into the earth and removed the dirt in pieces--I guess a bit too obtuse judging by the comments

Awesome photo, great time lapse scene. I am not all together sure it meets the challenge though. I'm not feeling the bits and pieces anywhere. Interpretation is so broad on this challenge.

This is a cool photo. Cool use of gelled flashes to make the scene extra interesting.
I'm really struggling to see how this fits the theme. I will continue to think about it, and come back later.

wow the blue light caught my attention and then the clouds and so one, it was a nice visual treat. Can't wait to see how long the exposure was etc.

I really love this shot, but I wish it fit the challenge without my having to guess out how it fits. Churning up bits and pieces by the railroad????

Very nicely shot and edited, beautiful colours, fits the challenge well and what DPC voters love to see on the front pages. Should do well in terms of DPCland style shots but, it isn't saying "bits and pieces" to me.
