I think many people don't know what photography means...

Great story -- whether fiction or not.

Boy! Will he be glad to be home or what? :) A very nice capture of the drudgery that cold weather brings.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives : This is very cinematic - I like that. Such a story to be told here, the suitcase makes the image, the way that it looks large and heavy and only just clears the ground seems to me to be a metaphor for the character's wider life. The landscape and your subject reaction to it is most compelling. I really like the conversion/toning too.

Critical stuff: The foreground snow is darker than the snow on the hill behind - I think the brighter snow has a tendency to draw the eye away from where it should be.

Overall: Very nice image.

If he's coming home, he forgot to tell someone. Coming home to no reception is very lonely thing. I believe that is what was captured here as he is by himself, and in the nasty cold weather, wishing for a warm friendly face and a warm car.

This looks like there is such an amazing story behind this. I love it. Slightly reminds me of Willy Ronis photos

Slowly working my way through the challenge, this photo definitely made me pause a bit longer than most, i cannot decide wether the tree is a good aspect of the composition or not, but that particular suitcase works perfectly.

The processing is key to making this a man against nature story. Good job. I like it.

Nice tones on this, love the old case the man has, adds character to the photo.

The movement and lines are so perfect in this image. The man and his leaning forward connect the curve of the hill behind him to the straight line he is walking. The tree anchors the angle at which the hill and the mountain connect. Beautiful.

Wonderful emotion you have captured in this image. The black and white was a great choice, as it really helped convey the emotion.
