Life in Burkina Faso. Went with another missionary to a village way out in the bush and got to walk around the paths and take pictures. When trying to think of a fitting title Frost immediately came to my mind. played with sharpness, and contrast mainly.
The Road Not Taken
by Robert Frost:
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. |

| Slightly different comp would have made this work even better. The PP work lets this down a bit and I dont think it's needed with this quality shot. Not shure what was done but it does look like you did pp on this? If Im wrong my apologies but the colours and textures on the scene as a whole does look odd and not natural which is important for this type of scene in my taste 7 |

| I like this scene overall. The person adds a lot of interest, and the grass blowing adds movement. But I'm not in love with the sky. Parts near the tree are nice and blue, but the rest is bright white, it's unappealing to me. |

Lovely image and composition. The figure of the African girl carrying the basket on her head and her position between the two trees makes this a wonderful image.
