photographed the flowers today and used another shot from a few days ago of sand on the firetrail as an overlay ..
really tried to go black and white on this .. even did the adjustment layer .. then gradually masked it out .. its not nearly as red as it was tho .. so i did put my foot in the water .. maybe next time .. :)
What gorgeous textures!!! Love the earthy grain as well as the lovely warm brown and yellow hues in this composition. To me the flowers are growing off the side of a pockmarked tree in a forest bathed in warm light.
These flowers look they they've been rocket-shot into the ethers. Very strange and interesting. Funny how an image will impose itself on you, especially when your intentions for it are the opposite :-)
