Masterful use of light and thoughtful capture of expression. The scattered leaves echo the sense of adolescent transition, and convert this from a standard portrait to a visual essay on changes as life goes on. All the more poignent knowing the dramatic changes you have experienced this year. Amazing image.

Second ten for me. I really liked the flooding white effect that seems to enhance the lines and make the subject pop out. Grand entry and favorite 10.

A bit contrived (you said "sit there and look sad" LOL), but I like the contrasts of this. The linear quality of the gate is a nice addition.

Very neat high-key image. Composition is dead on. The lines of the fence in contrast with the boy making a triangle with his legs. The only suggestion how to improve this photo would be to sweep the leaves off. Without the distractions, this would be one of my top images.

Beautiful high-key image. Love the diagonals created with the body position.
