 I went for a walk around wetlands across the road from Lake Wendouree, and heard several plops. I thought some ducks must have jumped into the water as I approached, but none surfaced. Then I was surprised to see three tortoises on logs. Two of them also quickly disappeared into the water but this guy stayed put. I didn't know that tortoises inhabited these wetlands, so my day was made.
