Nicely handled lighting and colour. The green is pleasing, not overpowering. You need to work on your composition. Try the flower on an angle (diagonals make great line compositions). In this case, you needed a bit more space on the left, as the flower is almost touching the edge. Also, the border doesn't need to be that thick. It doesn't help the image. Nice thin one would have been quite enough. 7 |

Is that suppose to be red? Looks purple, which isn't a complementary color of green. |

Not fond of the noise in the background... but I love the composition... and the brilliant use of colors. 8 |

Too green screen-ish, sharp flower. 5 |

Nice shot but its a DNMC from me for the following reason.
Red and green, yellow and violet, blue and orange, are the three simple pairs of complementary colors. |

Technically it should be purple/yellow or red/green for complementary colours... green/purple are technically "secondary" colours - but enough science! I actually love the shot. It has a great balance and "feel" to it. Very simple, and the border works well too. I'm not going to go so far as to say this will be a top 10 finisher as there are some great takes on the challenge as competition. I will however say that this is one of my favourites, and I hope you finish well. |
