 Deepening shadows gather splendour as day is done...

Taken from Twilight Time by The Platters - the first record I ever listened to on my grandmother's wind up record player....

WOW - I'm so surprised and happy to have been voted into this elevated position. A very big thank you to all who helped this image along the way...

This was such a simple composition with two pieces of coloured foam laid on top of each other and the skeletal leaves just placed strategically on the foam. I've learned one thing that in future I will probably try to lift the leaves or whatever away from the background to minimise the noise from the foam structure - investigating buying a piece of non reflective glass for the job. Any other suggestions gratefully received...

Are you kidding? The nois-ish effect on the purple portion of the background adds something to the piece to be desired. I like this added texture.

Although I'm not on the boards for ever, so much as submitting a photo, this amoung many of the new ribbon winners just might have inspired me enough. Thank you for that.

Congratulations - lovely artifice - smart and clean. I like the purple noise. (Incidently, I met the guys who wrote Twilight Time about 30 years ago, when I was visiting my grandmother in a South Florida retirement village. They were headlining the local TV show.)

At first I thought it was noise, but it's more likely to be the quality of the paper.
