 Was going to Home Depoy for a drill bit, and this leaf was just in the middle of the parking lot.

iPhone 3GS.

The contrast between the subject matter, as well as the colors, make this interesting. I like how the asphalt, which is black with some cobalt, contrasts so starkly with the leaf with its golden sheen. The decrepitude of the leaf is given the backdrop of unyielding synthetic ground, a nice statement in and of itself.

I really like these "solitary" images. Great for interpretation. The leaf really stands out. Just noticed this was an iPhone 3Gs shot, nice.
