B-29 at the Museum of Nuclear Science & History in Albuquerque. They have a nice collection of historical planes and missiles there. Most of them appear to be works in progress, such as this one, which appears to have had some restoration work in the past, but not a lot of markings applied yet. The B-29 is included there, as it was the bomber which dropped the bombs that ended WWII in the Pacific.

It's a shame I couldn't use some of these pics for the midday sun challenge.

I just saw it today at the Alliance Air Show. Lots of crowds, so I wasn't able to get any really good pics of it, though I did shoot a handful.

Fantastic shot! I love the angle and the crop, shows size, power... well, and condition. I love these planes.

the thing that stands out to me is the shadow of the wing that creates an almost infinity-like perspective.

I like the way the light shows up the details of all the dings.

I love the B-29, an incredible aircraft. I was fortunate enough to see the only flying B-29 years ago. I love your perspective here, certainly gives a scale to how large this plane really is.

The shadows in Albuquerque's high desert have knife-sharp edges--this would've been great for the midday sun challenge. I see a lot of dings in this B-29, I imagine it saw some hard use. I'm ejoying all the other pics from the trip in your portfolio. Thanks for posting. I used to live there, it brings back a lot of memories.

Yeah, would have been nice for midday sun. Amazing to think that plane ever flew; pieces just look like they don't quite fit together but someone jammed them in and screwed them on.
