 Coryboehne had taken us to photograph an old abandoned building that he'd previously used for oneof his own challenge entries. On the way out, there was a truck at the gate and the driver was yelling at us. Turned out this was the owner of the property, but he wasn't mad at us, he wanted us to photograph this other shack with a long history behind it. A place with some sentimental meaning to him. He said it used to be the family residence, and then was a store for a while. I don't recall all the details.I broke out the 10-24 Tammy for this and did some handheld HDR. Most of them aligned nicely. Cory and I both gave him our cards with our email adresses, so he can get the photos from us. I have not heard from him yet, not sure if Cory has.

Fantastic detail and great backstory. That's one of the things I've learned to love about photograhy... all of the really interesting places it takes you and the interesting stories you'd never have without it.

Love the HDR here; brings out the colors nicely. Images like this always convey a story.

Some really great textures going on here. I love abandoned places, unfortunately there aren't many in my area because space is too hard to come by. When you do find them, you have to pay to get in. LOL!
