Thanks for the great comments. I particularly like the highlights of the water wrapping around the leading ankle.

Deb/Penny...thank you for your kind words. Greatly appreciated.

That's nice that you and Deb finished right next to each other :) The sprays of water are beautiful. Congrats on the Posthumous Blue!

This was one of the my 10's that I gave out (only gave out two of them). I loved this the moment I saw it. I sure think it should have scored much higher. I think it's wonderful.

Hey neighbor! Nice to have the sisters together. :-) Congrats on the top pick by both Don AND Paul! A rare and well earned double-dip. Your kids are charmed, of course. That helps!

Very abstract....took me a minute to really "see" it.

Wonderful exuberant movement, perfectly expressed. This photograph shows so very well how still images are able to be much more exciting and dynamic than moving pictures. As well as why still images are ultimately more durable. The thinnest slice of an event is more eloquent than the whole dish.

It is such a spectacular standout in this company that it seems superfluous to say it: This is my top pick. Thank you.

The making of this shot:

In a private thread (and this is for the benefit of any who may read the comments after the challenge) a teammate was remarking at how easily shots like this seem to come for Ben, yet how very few can accomplish this sort of thing with the energy and complexity that he achieves. Since I was fortunate enough to be there when this shot was taken, I can pass along some state secrets... (and then head into the witness protection program!) He does take care to consider what he's after - he thinks that through. In this instance, he was using a neutral density filter since as you can see from the "how it happened" shot, we still had quite a bit of strong light. But after he takes into consideration what he's after and how best to technically achieve that goal, he lets things happen. He just lets the picture come to him, so to speak. No elaborate light setup, no reflectors, no posing of models. Just a late Sunday afternoon at the beach, a couple of amazing young ladies, and a guy with a camera who is in tune with the world around him.

something about this one... the ambiguity works for me... and fits well with the title

Very interesting effect, but I have no idea what is going on in this photo / what it is showing, to be honest. :)

no five's for you on this one, either people are going to get it and love it or not get it and hate it. I'm afraid I am one of those who doesn't get it.

i think i can see a foot.. do i? artistically superb, but too abstract probably. i think it would work better to crop-off the bottom and right side.

I'll trust this is a lower leg. Maybe. Perhaps. Cool abstracty image, regardless.
