This is Patches, almost 7 1/2 months old now. Still just my lil puppy, though.

Yikes, Patches might end up in the Top 10 here. I guess I'll see when I wake up in the morning.
Let me try to recall those editing steps:
- Process from JPEG
- Rotate, crop, Topaz sharpen
- Nik Color EFEX, I want to say "tonal contrast"
- Some minor cloning-out of bg elements
Looking at the JPEG, I think I must have run Noiseware to clean up the sky a bit, too.
Thanks for the great comments and votes!

Yes, I do believe a 4th place finish works for me. Patcher-ino, you get some extra bacon treats tonight.
lol @ Bear_Music and steve100...
Bear: You're gonna get dinged for that towel!
4.5 hours pass...
steve: Man, that towel sucks. |

I like the way the exposure/flash has made the sky darker. Nice work and congrats on your HM David |

Great lighting on the dog - can't quite decide whether the surroundings are slightly distracting - or help contextualise the situation . . cool angle on the dog which helps lift it out the norm slightly, I guess the only thing that would have finished this for me would have been a catch light in it's eyes.
Still a striking shot though that should do well.

Excellent quality, impressive.

Mighty Dog was relaxing on the back deck and enjoying some well-earned R&R, playing Trash the Rag, when his supersonic hearing detected a distant cry of distress.
Adorable. |

Really well done. You'll probably get quibbled on the towel, but I sorta like it, it's an in-your-face dose of reality :-) |
