Welcome to dpchallenge! I'm guessing your low score had more to do with the opinion that your shot wasn't "really" still life than with its quality. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.
BTW - I'm glad this is "still life" - hate to see that thing coming after me!

Welcome to the DPC 'cellar' where the only people here are wearing the color brown and those upstairs don't think anyone actually lives down here. 3.9 is a pretty high brown ribbon score. Maybe the amazing hulk would like wearing your first DPC ribbon! Welcome also to DPCland. You obviously know plenty to offer many of us (myself included) good ideas on how to shoot/post-process images! |

Congrats on achieving the (arguably) coveted brown ribbon on your first challenge. (I am quite proud of mine!) No place to go but up from here! |

see now this is cool. it isn't easy being green. it's so not easy that he's black and white. but still very angry. and very still. nice lighting. the selection around the toes on our left is a little sloppy. 6 |

definitely does not fit my idea of still life, though it's a toy and he's still...but I will say that your tones are pleasing |
