The technique is nicely done, but a water drop clinging to a leaf does not say freedom to me. It's possible actions are quite limited.

I'm probably just pissed that this is such a technically amazing photograph, but I'm not really feeling the challenge theme in this. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but I feel like maybe this one should have just been saved for the portfolio.

What a great macro -- the reflection in the drop is amazing. I think it will be knocked down some for its tenuous connection to freedom (IMHO), but the shot may overcome all objections!

Nice focus on the drop. Great colors. The red on the right middle is a bit of a distraction. Free as a rain drop - that's a new one....

I don't really see this as freedom. Setting aside the fact that it is an inanimate object (of sorts, a rain drop has no choice but to fall eventually. Its only option is down. That isn't freedom---it's the law of gravity.

This is a nice shot, though. I like the use of complementary colors and the composition is quite active and engaging. If it had met the challenge, it would be a 7. Not meeting the challenge, I have to rate it lower.
