I keep a mental log of places that would make good foreground for sunsets so that I can go to one quickly when I see a nice sunset coming on.
I have gotten a lot of nice sunset photos that way when I would have otherwise just had to watch and sigh.
You exposed this correctly to get the vibrant color.
I have also found that here in S W Florida, the best shots are usually after the sun sets, sometimes as long as 20 minutes after the actual sundown. |

Amazing colors you captured here. Power lines are meant to be cloned out, that's just me though.. ;D |

I just love it when you get these brilliant colors in the sky. It's really a magical thing. Maybe one of the benefits of being a shutterbug (and this isn't unique to those who take pictures) is actually looking enough to see things like this--rather than just scurrying along to the next destination. Most people never look up. |
