The base shot for this was a bucket of sunflowers setting in our lunchroom at work. The walls are all gray. I shot so as not to include any of the wall. Normal processing: Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast, Hue and Saturation. USM. Saturation may have been heightened by use of Kyoto Color (Flaming Pear Plugin). A form of the Hayes Island technique was used. Made two copies of the background. First layer copy is smart blur 20/50/2. Then inverted and possibly posterized to make the black outlines more prominent. The other layer was simplified with Buzz Simplifier no 1. Layer opacity change to soft light and merged down. The reflections are done with the Flaming Pear Flood Filter plugin.

How did you do this? Someone said it was photo editing. What did you use?

This is probably one of the best uses of digital editing I have seen - it brings photography and art together in such a striking, vibrant way that just can't be improved upon. It shows talent that can't even be described for me.
