Shot from the gazebo at the back of the Philadelphia Museum of Art down to the Water Works. Taken on the Philadelphia Photo Walk. I took a few shots of the man sweeping the walkway as I was fascinated by the shadows. Then, the bride came by.

Not only that, you're at the museum that holds Duchamp's masterpiece, "The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even." You've reversed the position of bride and bachelor, but the composition has some striking similarities. Whatever those white dots are correspond to the "shots" that the bachelors take at the bride (always missing) ... and the broom is like the machinery that the bachelors use. You even have the same counterclockwise movement.

Great street shot. The title was probably unnecessary (but as creative titles go, it's a good one for this).

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: I certainly like the idea behind the image and I like the characters in the story in this scene - the shadows are a really effective element to the image too.

Critical stuff: I think your lined up composition - lady, post, man doesn't serve the image that well - an image 1 second before or after this frame may have given a more pleasing composition. Also, perhaps I've been indoctrinated, but this feels like it would be better in monochrome.

Overall: I do like it, I just wish I liked it just a bit more.

Good quality shot but pretty uninteresting.

I love the subject and how there are parallel shadows, black vs. white, and work vs. carrying some flowers to some party. A really well captured moment. The lighting is quite harsh, though, which detracts from the image for me. Perhaps you could try black and white instead?

the composition of this shot does not sit well with me as there is too much happening in the centre third then the rest also some space between her head and the lamp post would have helped as well.
