I chose this one because I love macros. This is well done. Dragonflies are so large it's often hard to get everything in the DOF. You chose well to keep the eyes in focus. Like any portrait, the eyes are the windows to the soul, even if they belong to a bug. The bokeh is nicely done as well.

Darn good placement -yes , maybe the foreground focus should have been clearer but you can't pick & choose- these insects do their own thing !

Nice detail and I like the soothing green of the background. The abdomen being a foreground OOF element bothers me a little; I think it would work better if the perspective were such that the abdomen was fading into ther background. Assuming you could direct your subject ;-)
