A little too over exposed and soft

Love this image. I really interesting pototo! However I think the left hand is a little too over exposed...perhaps had the background been darker??
Hey, I give you a 7 anyway!

If you had a little bit more aperture throughout the plant and the hands I would have gone to 9 or 10

my first reaction, I wish to outer extremities of the hands were clean with just a 'circle' of dark wet dirt surrounding the potato. and what with the citrus leaves growing out of the spud? 6

I like the idea but the lighting on the image to me is not all that exiting. The hands and the wood background are both very washed out compared to the potato and the dirt. I think with better lighting the score would have been much higher. Good luck in the challenge.

Cool job on the processing.

I'm not quite sure on what to look at first here. The wood backdrop's lines really pull my eye first, then the hands being very fair are next and then, I'm drawn to the leaves because they stand out and lastly, to the potato (which is what we want to see first). I think that had you simply placed the potato and dirt on a more neutral surface and left out the hands and wood below, you'd have had a much more intriguing shot. Just too much going on in it. 5

This was a good idea, but the really bright highlights have detracted from the photo.

I love the potato bit, but the background makes it a bit "flat". I think I would have cropped it tighter.
