About the butane tank in the water... in our region, people use the butane tanks as mooring markers. They float, they are durable, and they are easy to see in the water. So, local fisherman use them as inexpensive solutions to marking where the mooring for their boat is located. All along the edge of the river, there are butane tanks floating in the water to mark the location of mooring for many different fishermen.

This was taken along the Xingu River, a tributary of the Amazon River, in Brazil. The light is natural.
