the lighting on the phone is not very good for this clever idea. It needs to show off the phone more for an effective advertisement look.

I know everyone hates comments on content, but when I looked at this shot, I thought "Wouldn't it be funny if there were someone (or several someones) in the water in the background?" I think the hint of innuendo might add to the draw of the brand. The idea of being in the middle of nowhere comes across, but what about being somewhere so far that noone will see you? Maybe a pile of clothes next to the phone would give the same effect :) Anyway, I like the image, I thought at first that the phone should be larger, but I like it now, it really works.

If your phone service provider has a strong signal at this location (I'm guessing California in the Sierras) please let me know who it is! If I go out of the metropolitan areas in California my signal goes away... and the only reason I need a cell phone is for emergencies! This photo 'nails' the theme of the challenge "Your job is to photograph a product and have it appeal to your audience: the users of DPChallenge." and is a GREAT photo to boot - 9

Lovely photo. I'd prefer it without the phone, but I guess you had to put it in there to meet the challenge.

at first, i didnt see the phone in the picture, but now i do and it makes much more sense. Maybe the phone should be a larger part of the picture, though i see that its supposed to be like in the middle of nowhere or whatever.

I'd like it better if the phone were up on the rock but overall a pretty nice shot

Nice idea and shot, would prefer the phone to stick out a bit more...maybe lighten it up?

I like your idea very much. This is a great shot for a backdrop. I think the phone needs to stand out just a little bit more. Maybe its the grass that is taking attention away from it. Perhaps if the phone were up on the rock it would stand out a lot more?

Almost great- but it looks very unprofessional (in an ad sense) to have it leaning against the rock- should be facing consumer. Otherwise great
