 Are those eyes insanely cool or what?! It pays to look closely at "plain" bugs sometimes :-)

36mm extension tube, handheld, fill flash.

PP - since it's a side challenge I cheated and cloned out a bunch of OOF foliage so he had a clear view into the void; rest of the PP was pretty standard: rotated, cropped, levels, increased saturation and contrast, resized, sharpened, blurred background a little more, added border.
