good point. sadly we seem to raise the flag too many times and never taken the damn things down! we are still in japan and germany let alone the other 129 nations with usa bases. please cut the people of our nation some slack, we never voted for empire.

I think this is probably a treasure for the family, and I think it's pretty darn nice too.. 8..

Fantastic colors and setup, I scored it 9. It is obviously quite far from the original (subjects, colors), but one can still instantly recognize the shot: great own interpretation. Congratulations.

Great colors (really great)!

Looks like a perfect photo... but perfect in excess... I took some minutes to figure out what is the problem, IMO.

I think that the contrast between the silhouettes and the lit flag are a little strange for me. It steals the reality of the picture, because this do not seem to be possible without some light on the hand of the last girl (at least).

Great job, anyway. I think you will score well.

It's great how you used children as the flagbearers, provides the image a somewhat different "meaning". I think you went a little overboard with the saturation though. 7

The kids that participated in this DPC shoot with you will most likely gain a great experience that is lost to a lot of our youth. Kudos to you all.

well produced - I'm overlooking in my voting the slightly troubling undertones of using children to recreate an image of war and of ultimate nationalism.

And a colour version, what's more. ;-Þ (Without looking at the original, I doubt that there was a pile of tree branches in it.)

I like how you have highlighted the flag. Also, I like that the models are kept in silhouette and that they are not dressed as soldiers. I think your take/interpretation is presented very well in presenting a famous photograph in your way. Well done.
