 I was out doing some night photography and came upon this surreal setting in an alley. A street light illuminated the scene and gave it a very warm color cast. The rose bush had climbed a chain link fence and is over 10 feet tall. The tattered window covering was a bonus. I clamped my camera to the fence and did a timed exposure and was as still as possible. I took several self portraits on this outing, this is my favorite.

I did a slight curve adjustment, unsharp mask and boosted the saturation a little. No crop.

The lens I used is a 30mm Arsat. I bought a lens mount adapter so I could use my medium format lenses with my Canon 10D.

I like this a lot, gave it a 7 but I think I would have scored it higher in mono - I don't think the colours help the image

Way different. Not sure what to make of it, but making me pause to examine it closer is itself worth a vote on the positive side.

The roses take the point of interest away from the rather anonymous figure. Nice for a floral shot, not so great for a portrait.

Composition is a bit off -- or rather, I don't see a compelling reason to break the Rule of Thirds here.
