thank you all for the comments, for my first submission in really so long I appreciate it a lot and thank you to for the posthumous blue :) I love it! I have to figure out how to get it in the profile section.

I was trying to get an image using the reflections to show the parallels I think C. Novack described it quite like I see it as well. bravo :)

Thank God for you. All the other artists seem to have left the building.

Posthumous Blue Ribbon for you. That was easy.

The reflection of the kid in the glass is trippy... took me a bit to recognize what I was looking at. Cool photo.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This works really well, the focus is where it needs to be and the overall effect puts a smile on my face. I'm pretty convinced by your choice of black and white too.

Critical stuff. I think this could stand a tighter crop.

Overall: An imaginative piece of work - well received by this viewer.

Very good juxtaposition of the gorilla and the reflection.

I think I see what you were going for here, but I'm not sure that I personally like it. I would have enjoyed the shot more without the reflection.

O.K. a slightly above average shot of a .....whoa! You have a great eye to have spotted this photo opportunity! Love the parallels here: human and ape. I do think that you could have gotten away with calling this "Profiles" - just to offer another hint to those who would quickly pass this by without noticing the little visual gem you have here. Love that you caught the two profiles looking away from each other for that also adds visual interest; two species, two paths. The gorilla also has an facial expression that makes me think he/she is listening to some inner music or meditative state (perhaps reflecting upon inner being/spirit perhaps). This photo could hold many different meanings.

A square crop might have given this more impact. The silhouetted child on the shoulder is interesting.
