 Flash located camera left with lower part flagged to reduce upward light reflection, white foamboard reflector camera right, on-camera fill flash, also flagged lower portion to reduce amount of light bouncing up. Took some experimenting to get a reasonable balance. Reward is that the subjects became part of a nice dinner after the shoot.

Beautiful photo and processing. I would consider cropping more of the empty space on the top to even it out. I think the composition is naturally dynamic because of the angle and the top artichoke is what brings my eye into the photo. Great job!
