 I am not a sports fan, but my partner recently took up Renaissance fencing and leather making, so I felt a need to take some portrait, detail, and action shots. This is the best detail shot I got during our impromptu shoot.

Nicely set up. The lighting and focus on the glove, however, seems to be abit off. Would be nice to see more of the textures in the glove.

Did you mean to enter it in the other challenge (sports without a team)? I do not see how this captures a sport in 'action'. Good picture technically though. Just because of the other reason though, I have to rate it a 5.

nice featurish type photo, but doesn't really grab me as a 'sport' photo...
