 cropped, and lots of shadow highlight filter, in selective color I darkened blues and cyans, lightened reds, and shifted the yellows over towards green. small S curve; USMed to bring up contrast wide, and then tight for sharpness. Saved for web then USM again.

Many thanks to my team mates in Globe Trotters for help with ideas on editing this, if it is anything like a silk purse, it started out as a pig's ear.

The contrast is good but the color is not (lots of chroma noise it looks like). Might have tried it in black and white.

I do like the composition though. Great action, great expressions.

most of the time, the difference between a good shot and a great shot is how it's cropped. this is a little league shot that needs a big league crop. great colors, great perspective, wonderful moment, nice composition, and, too, too, too much wasted space that distracts from your subject. crop down to just above the kid's glasses, crop into the arms, crop up to the bottom of the ball, and WOW - a completely different image!

Action: yes. Composition: good. The vibrant colors: not sure about that. Difficulty of getting the shot: not too high. Decent shot. Good job! 6/10.
