Love her surprized expression. Nice single color saturation too. Very well done.

I agree with the others... this was a top choice for me in this challenge, at least in the top ten. This is a wonderful captured moment. Definitely going on my favorites list!

You should have been top ten. 10!
07/08/2004 12:19:19 AM
This really deserved a top 10 finish.

Didn't I say a was right behind you? ;-)

Fabulous capture. One of my top three. 10

This is one of those desturations that really works better than ot would in full color. The black and white rendering is perfect with grat crisp white and loads of black blacks. Then there's you model! What a perfect expression on a lovely young lady. Were you able to get a shot right as the bubble burst? I expect you will be up in the straosphere with the score on this.

Her eyes say it all...hubba bubba!!! I like this natural shot!

great shot. too bad we saw it in the threads earlier in June. I hope you dont get shot down for it. Was this not a reject for the sel. desat challenge? I like it anyway. 9, only bc the focus looks a bit soft. good luck!

Do we get to see after the bubble gum pops? Hope so. Nicely done.

What a fantastic expression. I guess the selective desaturation works well here, but for me it detracts. A 7, higher if all black and white.

I think this would probably have finished highly in the partial desat challenge..would certainly have got a 10 from me.
Great expression and very good use of the technique.

Funny image!

hehe :) I like it verry expressive in a natural way. Selective desat works verry well here.

Great expression! Nice retro feel, too.

Made me laugh! Here is a really good example of selective desaturation. It really works here. And your model is really great at making googly eyes. Much fun.

Recognize her from the portrait challenge. Great use of desaturation. I can't really find any fault with this picture. There are a lot of great photos in this challenge and this is right up there with them. I hope you get atleast a top 10 with this... which would be quite an accomplishment in this free study. If this is your daughter/grandaughter I hope you have this up on your wall already. This would be my favorite phot if it wasn't for the one titled Ange. You still get a 10+ and a favorite from me.
07/01/2004 12:18:22 PM
great expression and the partial desaturation works well here.
