 Borrowed my stepson's 75-300 zoom lens and went to Reykjavík's favourite bird feeding spot to test it and how steady my hand is. This fellow sat on a post and begged me to take his portrait. Hand held at 300mm.
Crop, very slight levels and saturation, cloned out some bread crumbs, resize, sharpen.

Hmmm...I've commenting on many portraits that the eyes are oversharpened, and now I'm thinking here that the eye isn't sharp enough. Maybe I need more coffee? :-) Seriously...the focal point seems to be falling off just (and I mean JUST) before the area above the beak. It's not terrible or anything, just slightly softer than the feathers below and around the lower right. Sorry to nitpik this point...

Great detail & colours, not keen on the title but that's minor. Could be a bit sharper on the eye
