WOW my first Ribbon....I thought people were playing when they said they wore out the update button while voting was taking place...I experienced it this week. I am so happy right now....it's been a nerve wracking week seeing the score go up and down a million times.
Thank you all very much for your kind comments and faves.
A couple of you had asked me to share how I did this. It was very simple, I used one of those stopshot equipments to get the drop where I wanted it. I filled a white container with water and put color pebbles inside. As a background I used a striped color paper. The flash was on the left side. Totally dark room open bulb.
Thank you all again.

As perfect a drop shot as I have seen. As cliché as it is, I couldn't help but give it a 9. Congratulations on your first ribbon.

Congratulations! This is a brilliant shot - brilliant technically, brilliant aesthetically. I wish I could zoom in because the refractions in that droplet look wonderful.

Of all the drop shots in the challenge, this is definitely the best. Great color and definition, and a very interesting shape also!

This photo is absolutely incredible! It is amazing how you can actually see the drop of water as it is about to land. The color manipulation is genius! The water looks like paint and it also has that crystal clear quality of glass. Perfectly executed!

Cool. My eyes just want to wander around to look at all the colour permutations, but the are captured by the centre drop. Perfect background colour. Bumping up

As expected there's a few droplets in this challenge. However, the colours and perfect capture of the rebound drop (if that's the right term) makes it very special. A 9 and favourite from me (and I don't have many favourites).

After viewing all the photo's and re-looking at the one's that I really like I realise that this has been one of the best challenges I've seen in some time. I don't usually change scores from my original vote but yours is a rare exception. This will be my only 10 for the challenge as I believe the shot is near perfect IMHO. If this dosn't get a ribbon it's probably due to a biased opion of water in this type of challenge by some. In this case I believe it would amount to a misscarage of justice. You must be so proud of this shot. Cheers.

I not a big fan of all the waterdrops that come on this site since it has been done like a gazillion times, but I do admit this one is a good one.
