It was quite a struggle to think of what to take. Originally I wanted to do a classic B&W nude, but thought I needed to use this challenge to push me out of my comfort zone and do something totally different. I am happy with the resulting image so am not too concerned where it finishes, but it will be interesting to see how voters view it.

Interesting - this is more like a zen shot. Love the grain (as in noise not the rice lol)

5 - Don't mind the concept, but the grain is, as I'm sure others have said, too grainy - and the biggest drawback with that is, not very discernible.

This could be BW or color, the variety of textures is interesting without being demanding, the composition seems to be settling toward stagnant at first. After a while I decided it is the busiest minimalist comp I've ever seen. Adjusting my vote--up.

Nice. I immediately thought of the twin towers (in New York, not in The Lord of the Rings). The grain could be a cloud. Something militaristic or at least bullet-like about the chopsticks. OMG, is that skin? Better and better.

Clever idea, I love this photo. However, there is too much noise to my taste, and the rice lacks perhaps a bit of contrast.
