 OK, so this is a bit sappy, but my daughter Bella like's it, and the slippers are hers. She loves ballet, but I'm sure most 4 year old girls enjoy dance! Anyway, I set out to create an image for her to remember these days, and the initial image was a Holga preset in Nik Silver. Nice and grainy, looked good, but ultimately too harsh. A little mouse suggested a change...so I got rid of the grain and started playing with the gaussian blur. Bella is happy, so who am I to argue with a 4 year old!

Beautiful - loved the softness. This will definitely make a great keepsake. Now go do a pink overlay and hang it in her room :)

not sure the setup of the shoes works for me. That said I suck at that kind of thing myself so I'd have no idea how to improve upon it. Beyond that I think you nailed the effect I'm guessing you were going for - soft where it should be, sharp where it should be, well exposed with a nice vignette that draws me to the important parts of the photo. I might have cropped a little of the right side to offset the slipper a bit, but that's just a personal preference. nice work
