It was a challenge to capture this beautiful building, even with my wide-angle lens. I ended up laying on my back with my tripod completely collapsed, and my camera just a foot off the group.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: What an unusual POV and one that has paid dividends, you communicate the sense of height very effectively as a consequence. I do like being able to see the textures to, though I think you may have paid a price for this (see below).

Critical stuff: Although the tones are such that we get to the texture in the shadows, this has led to an image which lacks a little drama.

Overall: I do like the image - it brings its own interest.
