 For the curious...I found a faucet lying around and thought I might be able to do something with it. Taken in a completely dark room. Camera set to rear flash with a 13 second exposure. One strobe, behind with a grid, to produce the shadow on the wall and one strobe, just to the right of the camera, with a grid, to light the faucet. Faucet is stuck to a solid wall with plumbers putty. Trip the shutter. Sparks made in the dark with a dremel griding disk and a piece of metal for a couple seconds. Get out of the picture and wait for flashes to go off. PP - curves, levels, hue/sat.

Brilliant setup and perfect results. Shows your control over lighting and exposure.

Unfortunate that this does not seem to convincingly fit this challenge. Otherwise, this should have been a ribbon winner in an appropriate challenge. Very creative.

I'm trying really hard to get this image, but I just don't see what you were trying to do or how you did it? Does it meet the challenge of being Constructed by Man? I guess the brick wall does.

Very interesting and impressive photo. Can't really work out how you pulled it off. At first I thought it was a fake tap with some grinding conducted on the other side of the wall being directed to go through the tap. But then I noticed the gap between the sparks and the tap.

Anyway, you've been very clever and met the intent of the subject better than most of what I've seen so far. It's an 8 from me. Good luck!
