 I really like this shot, but I don't think that this will do as well as the extreme closeups. I think this shot might have done better , but I love the watercolor feel of the entry better.

I hope I'm wrong!

The bird is very nice, but what I like best about this image is the exquisite background.

Not generally a fan of centered composition but this works perfectly. Bokeh is lovely, details are sharp and I can see just enough falling snow to make me realize the white in the background is wintry. Bare branch is a clue, too ;-) Really lovely bird shot.
