Scary!

I love that shot ... everything in it, I like the conveyd mesage as well ... one of py prefered this week. Probably you'll get comment about the red/white small chimney .. I do not know if it would have been better if you had moved jsut a little so it does not 'toouvh' the big one. but Very nice. 8. Lionel

Yikes!

What is the dark 1/4 of the picture besides a waste. The next 1/4 meets the challenge. And the last 1/2 is all empty space again. Focus is clear but that is about all. 1/4 of 10 points is 2.5 so I can't give you more than that for composition and another 1/5 for focus gives you a 4. Wanted you to know how I arrived at such low score so you could see it is a fair score. Sorry PTL

Striking repetition and well captured steam shapes...
Green is a little dark next to the lightness of chimneys, sky and steam...

wondering if the tilt is intentional.

I find this image very dramatic, the subdude tones, the horizon line sloping from left to right, the perfect alignment of the subject - excellent. Very carefully composed gestalt image. Definetly a one of top three.

Interesting. I think it would have been even better if you could have cropped out the lower flat portion of the picture.

A clever title but I thought the image was a bit dull. Foreground could have been lighter too.

Hmmm. Still does not jump out at me. But you did meet the challenge. so extra point there.

The only thing keeping me from giving you a 10 is the red and white structure near the right most cooling tower. -9-

WOW! The color contrast is awe-inspiring. Absolutely wonderful, 10!

excellent composition!...8

This MAY be a nuclear plant, but THOSE are COOLING TOWERS, and there are MANY other types of plants that use cooling towers, (cooling towers do not =nukes). I like the composition, and your lighting that day was pretty good. Also like the steam action - really adds to the interest of the shot. Good thing they were on the grid. lhall

Nice shot, however I feel the slanted foreground takes away from the shot. Jacko. 6

Super eye ......job well done. Crop the bottom would of added to this cool shot.

By far the best pic this week (except mine he he) 10 marbo

Very crisp, clear shot. Even without the title, it's a nice juxtaposition of man vs nature.
11/18/2002 01:11:00 PM
A great shot- I'm not sure whether it would have been better if you cropped out the wall --I'm sure you tried--andrewm

OOh. scary

I like this, except for the green line going downhill.

Nice shot. Really crisp. Great focus. I wonder who it would have looked cropped up a little higher though, with the cooling towers lower in the shot, and perhaps rotated slightly so the horizon was straight instead of angled a little. Definately a good shot though.
