Wonderful emotional appeal. Nice and contrasty, with crisp focus, so it would reproduce well. I would put this on the front of the Sunday issue on Father's day, in color. That would sell a LOT of papers. 9

I have to say that this looks like a nice photo you got of your kids and then came up with a title to try as best as you could to make it meet the challenge. I don’t think I would classify this as a journalistic shot. The photo is well done however in terms of lighting and framing. The background seems a little bit on the cluttered side to me.

Hmmm...would've put a father figure in this picture if that was the case. Should've tried taking a picture with a more pleasant background. There's all that dead space in the top left of the picture that kinda kills the picture.
