Your Welcome, regarding the last message. Oh, WOW, as I was checking your message and other pic's I came across what I'm sure is my favorite insect shot yet! I love the color and composition. Insect shot's, though they take alot of technical ability, aren's usualy visualy interesting to me. Beautiful! It's one that I could see a decorator using as art in an impressive home! Nice work!

Great image Giorgio. Lovely colours and the highlights are superbly captured, not blown away. Would love to see this on a print and much bigger. 46th place is good but because this is a best of challenge the voting was tough. I feel I got robbed but that's part of the game here at dpc.

Was my crystal ball right then sir at 6.5? I think you got a very low score for this pic. Had it been Macro Challenge 7.5 would have been reality in my view. Congrats on PB. You did not need my cheat votes in the end

This is very pretty indeed! Such amazing details even in the dark areas. I love the way you have dark on dark and maintained such delicate details and the bright wings against it all are just perfect!

I'm giving this my first 10 so far.

7 - Unique and beautiful. Looks like dew, either way I hope it was natural and not sprayed on - the main reason I 'think' that, is what appears to be artificial lighting bottom left - which takes me out of the 'fantasy world' that those jeweled wings create. Has potential for a variety of 'pushes' in pp, even subtle to bring this to life a fraction more, in my opinion.

It's amazing the amount of details that you provided in this one. The 800px size does not do this photo any justice, it has so much more details, it's unbelievable.

You've done a very good job of taking a favorite DPC subject and changing things up quite nicely. The dew is very cool, especially the manner in which it clings to the wings and dragonfly's hair. The silhouette is also nice, especially the way that the foliage has a nice rim light.

Shhhhhtupified. This is sssshhtunning. Best Macro I have seen in a long time. Truly the best. I wonder what more depth would have done for this in the wings? Still I cant fault it on that and this effect works as well. 9

Interesting processing - I think the sharpening of all the dew made it look almost outlined - it's pretty. And the bokeh is delightful.

What is so stunning and just dazzling to look at is the way the light plays on this nature scene. Love the way the light illuminates the waterdrop dappled dragonfly to turn it into an object adorned with sparkling gems; dewdrops and jeweldrops. I also like how the light just gently touchs/outlines some of the details of the plant and the dragonfly - I can see the fine hairlike filaments on the plant stalk as well as the hairlike filaments on the torso of the dragonfly. Very nice capture here.
