 Early february 2009 Anastasia Kapluggin had a big shoot with Kai Steeg for a hairstyling competition. We worked from the afternoon until 4.00 in the morning. Nastya shoots, Kai does the hair and make-up and I help with the light or get some pizza's for us to eat.

We shot in the studio of Johanna Schindler. A beautiful big studio with kitchen and all that you want in the centre of Nottuln, Germany.
I played a little bit with Johanna's D700. Put my 35-70 on it, which turned out to be the ideal combination. Only problem was that I shot small 3mp jpeg, instead of 12mp.

This was just a fun shot with the pilot lights. And I edited it dark the way I like it. With the NIK filters cross balance, darken/lighten centre, bi-color black/black, darken/lighten. Resized and sharpen.

Funny...different. Lighting works well to emphasize the face from the shadows but the colours on face needs be a bit different for me

Interesting, unique, good light on her face, would like to see a bit more detail in her hair. Seems to have an orange/greenish glow on her skin. Would like to see it more natural looking.
