There's a bizarre historical novel called Europe Central featuring several artists, one of whom is Käthe Kollwitz. You should give it a read some time.

Nice showing, but still should've placed higher, IMO.

I love how the highlights pick out a figure from the chaos. The Germanness of the title suggests Abstract Expressionism.

My guess? This is the newspaper announcing the death of Secretariat, moments after it's been burned.

Posthumous Yellow Ribbon for you.

excellent. Looks like a piece of burned paper. Back for more, great imagery. I hope it's getting some love from the voters, although I think the bright sections are too soft for a typical DPC scoring machine.

Looks like crumpled up corn stalks with shredded cauliflour in the middle lol. Love the light and shadow.

Not distinctive enough to guess. Nice art shot, not a great puzzle shot as it just looks like an indescribable organic something...

Maybe some paper or something, I really don't know. This is just an awesome picture though.

Whatever this is, it is a totally cool looking abstract. I like the play of light on this. It almost looks like a renaissance painting, but without any recognizable forms.

I'm going to hazard a guess that this might be burned paper. Or it could be a vegetable of some kind. I'm sure both guesses are wrong.

Wonderful image but I can't guess what it is.

I wish it had a bit more contrast, and I feel like its a little OOF. Still, looks really cool. 7

A dying flower? I have no idea what it is, but it looks very intriguing and artistic

Potpourri? Lovely patterns/textures. The only thing I dont like is the bright clump near the top, sticks out like a sore thumb.

Dying plant matter? I am seeing a figure in this image. Did you see it? The top lightest area being the head. To the left is the shoulder shrugged up high. Down low is the arm from that shoulder. The other arm is being brought up to his or her face. Funny what people can see, I wonder if you see it too!
Great image! Love the tones and thanks for sharing!

Ehm... potpourri closeup?
I'm gonna stop guessing before some other silly ideas come up;-)
Very nice, dramatic abstract. The image that keeps appearing to me when I look at it, is that of a piëta. I wonder why you called it angst. To me it brings up drama, but also some kind of tranquillity and peace... not exactly fear (probably with the pieta association). Oh well, imo an image deserves respect (and a good score) when it forces you to look longer as usual and when it sticks to you. You succeeded! Wellseen and beautifully done! 9

looks like plants that froze! Love the abstractness and the tonal range here. Very artsy and right up my alley! Hope this does well!! (edited my typo.)

some kind of wilted vegetation, or potpourri, the B/W makes it harder to guess.

Could be dried paper or a dried flower. It's very dramatic.

You should have points for the Käthe Kollwitz. I'm putting my bets on the mycology team.
