I thought the clouds would make for a bad day of shooting. Although, the overcast sky works well here for the mood.

Another trick to this one was dodging traffic. The angle I wanted was to place the two large bank buildings just behind this boarded up home. All the angles and lines through out the image seem to work together well. To line this up I had to crouch in the middle of the road with the tripod. It was one-way and not too busy, which helped.

The only way to get the detail out of the clouds was with HDR. Five bracketed images were used, along with Photomatix to generate.

I wonder how many voters will stop on the picture long enough to grasp the title with the composition. Anyway, very clever!

This house is being repaired so it's not really decaying is it? The fence kills the shot.

Heh, heh......kicking yourself for the typo????? LOL!!! I have one in my portfolio for all eternity as well. On to the entry......well seen, terrific perspective, well done all 'round IMO.....except for that typo! LOL!!!.....8

Not a lot of decay in this building. First off, the fence surrounding it is a real turn off. Secondly, if the roof didn't look so brand new I would think it was being refurbed as we speak. No vote, I'm in this one.
