Our Christmas tree is set up outside on the balcony, safe from the cats and toddler! I was taking pictures through the sliding glass door at night. I thought, with the darkness behind it, this actually came out looking rather ominous.

Actually, I really like the whole darkness thing; it makes the lights look that much more cheery, even though they are subdued :-) The two ridged bulbs add a nice touch of interest...for my tastes, this is really a classy xmas scene!

Good capture, very woodsy but not ominous. A good representation of winter solstice.

lol .. i see what you mean . it has the lovely christmas lights and feel going on but with that sinister overtone .. like some weird monster is going to jump right out'v the foliage at me .. aghhhhhhh .. !!!.. :)
