This was a major crop....MAJOR, all perpetrated by a tree smack in the middle of the image. It was cold, I had a busy SUNDAY, church, home to get more music to sing at a Salvation Army luncheon, got a ride from there to get this shot of the SEPTA commuter train tracks leading to and from 30th Street Station and then walked to the Academy of Natural Sciences to shoot for Tuesday Challenge. Sunday's should not be that busy. At least I wasn't working...or was I. It was somewhat fun as I had barely shot all week.

Post: Doubt we'll need it but it is written down just in case the world ends! LOL!

Later.

Note: I did not see the tree as I saw a train coming and then another and well....I just did not have time to shoot around it. The shots without the train did not work for me.

Later, again.

Wonderful shot despite your heavy crop. The film-i-ness is fine. The exposure and BW and PP is really great. Not every photo should be as smooth as a baby's bottom. WD on your unique photo, (not another pylon), hard work and effort and top10.

PS: Not to be picky (or PC) but (there's the but) it's not a train, it's a "passenger" locomotive. A train is a locomotive coupled with many waggons/passenger cars behind it and then it's called a passenger train. I'm just a train nut is all. Sorry!

I think this is a nice find. The power lines fit really well in this context of the entire image. I like your choice to go B&W. Well done.

Great gritty, urban shot. I just feel that there are so many lines in this shot that the power lines are a bit lost.

Nice take on the theme. Different then most of the rest. I like the gritty look you achieved with your processing.
