Subject was good, the composition and lighting could have been better. Background is not working well with the shot! |

I was wondering if ol'Hermit would show up in this challenge...I got a great picture of one in the Keys last Sept...they are very interesting once you get them in a macro shot...love all the little hairs and pores that show up... |

After having these little guys for pets my wife just fell in love with this shot. Good take although I might have cropped a little tighter on the right side to even up the shot. |

Like the repeating body and claw curves of this little fellow dragging his house behind him - he fits into it quite tightly. The textures on the crustacean and the shell are crisp and well done as are the bits of sand still clinging to the critter and his shell. The eyestalks are determinedly pointed in the way he wishes to go and the Plan to get there is on. Great shot. |

Lighting seems to be an issue here but otherwise a good shot. |

Not bad but why is he on a table cloth under artificial lighting? Would have prefferred his natural environment. |
