 Ambient Light, taken at a park. Arthur was trying to find his card, as the pigeon started looking down in the wallet. This moment was just precious, and I snapped it in time to capture the pigeon stare (Speckles).

Editing Steps were basic
Crop,
Convert to B&W using Topaz details
Some Level adjustment
Sharpen and Save for Web.

Don't know why this shot didn't any better!

A fine shot! I don't know why it didn't do any better either, but chec out the score from the commenters. And you had quite a few commenters, too! Really good detail in both darks and lights - nice tight crop. And just an all around fun and enjoyable shot!

I elected to use a rating table to decide on what value to assign during voting.
Here’s the table:
1 No Animal/People Interaction
2 Slightly Appealing, but no Animal/People Interaction
3 Moderately Appealing, but on Animal/People Interaction
4 Greatly Appealing, but no Animal/People interaction
5 Not Appealing, but possessing Animal/People Interaction

9 Better than #8, and caused an audible sigh
