I like the composition of your shot. You've basically used the rule of thirds to establish an inner border to the picture. A piece of life advice after reading others' comments on your pictures - just because some people come across as know-it-alls and eager to tell people what to do, does not mean their input is not valid, or not worth listening to. Learn what you can. Ignore the rest. You've done a great job of capturing a meaningful moment.

This looks like it would have been a really good picture if it had been bigger.

I elected to use a rating table to decide on what value to assign during voting.
Here’s the table:
1 No Animal/People Interaction
2 Slightly Appealing, but no Animal/People Interaction
3 Moderately Appealing, but on Animal/People Interaction
4 Greatly Appealing, but no Animal/People interaction
5 Not Appealing, but possessing Animal/People Interaction
6 Slightly Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
7 Moderately Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
8 Greatly Appealing and possessing Animal People Interaction
9 Better than #8, and caused an audible sigh
10 Better than #9, and would likely declare it a favorite

you couldn't make it smaller? :/

yeah...really??

Looks like a cute photo, but it's too small to judge. There is a tutorial on preparing photos for challenges. (no vote)

very small jpeg... :/

I think this shot would have done better if you had utilized the maximum length allowed for at least one side, which is 640 pixels. Otherwise, I think this is a cute picture of a boy and his kitty.

I'm sure I won't be the only one to note that this is really small, which makes it hard to evaluate.

I asked the same question... Really? why post an image so small... I gave a score of 1, for not properly using the challenge dimensions.

Why such a small image?
11/05/2009 03:08:10 AM
ehm... really too small to view something here... probably is a good shot, but...

I'm sure you've seen this remark before, but it's a shame you entered such a small image which makes it hard to judge it right.

The size of the shot doesn't unfortunately do the subject(s) any justice.
I can barely see the child's joy at playing with the cat, his face is in shade and the long grass in front detracts.

Why so small??

If you make your submitted shots larger, you will receive better scores. g topthe learning page Goodluck for the future

Nice shot but maybe a little bigger pic would work better.

If this image was larger I could see more detail.

Nice interaction looks like a fun moment in a nice setting. The image is too small for me to see the detail that's there.

This looks to be a very good entry for this challenge, but it is too small to see well enough to tell, which is a shame! There is a tutorial here: //www.dpchallenge.com/tutorial.php?TUTORIAL_ID=26

This should help you take full advantage of the size allowed for the challenges.
